It's been a busy day for Meghan, which saw her release a statement confirming her father will not be attending the wedding and travelling to Windsor with Harry for the wedding rehearsal.
In light of the saddening and shocking events which have unfolded in recent days, Meghan has released a statement addressing the situation: "Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding. I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health. I would like to thank everyone who has offered generous messages of support. Please know how much Harry and I look forward to sharing our special day with you on Saturday."
It's clearly been an incredibly difficult couple of days for Meghan. Rebecca English said she felt it important to address the public directly and to clarify her father will not be attending. At this point, I think it was very much the appropriate move. The media circus we've seen has been a major distraction dominating coverage. I thought it a gracious and heartfelt statement. Without a doubt, it's been a painful time for the bride-to-be. There is no official word on who will walk Meghan down the aisle from the Palace. I will update should more information come to light.
Shortly after the statement was released Harry and Meghan surprised reporters in Windsor when they arrived to look at the procession route ahead of Saturday. Meghan was all smiles, wearing a white blouse and statement earrings.

More than 250 members of the Armed Forces will provide ceremonial support at the Royal Wedding, including regiments and units with a special relationship with Prince Harry.
